DuPont™ MECS® DynaWave® technology, licensed by MECS, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of DuPont, has been selected by a major international oil and gas services provider for the installation of three custom-engineered scrubbing systems for sulphur dioxide removal at PRPC Refinery & Cracker Sdn. Bhd, a subsidiary of PETRONAS, the Malaysian National Oil Company. The DynaWave® units are set to be delivered to the company’s RAPID Project refinery in Pengerang, Southern Johor, Malaysia, before the end of the year for subsequent fitting.

DuPont to Supply DynaWave® Scrubbing Technology for Zohr Gas Field

DuPont Clean Technologies (DuPont) recently signed a contract with Kinetics Technology (KT) for Eni’s giant Zohr deepwater gas field in the Egyptian Exclusive Economic Zone of the Mediterranean Sea. Under the contract, DuPont will be delivering the technology license, engineering and proprietary equipment for two MECS® DynaWave® wet gas scrubbing units while KT will provide the related on-shore gas plant units in Port-Saïd (Egypt) with Claus and Tail Gas Treatment Units (TGTU’s). This combination of technologies will allow the new Zohr project to meet stringent environmental requirements on sulfur dioxide emissions, in all operating cases.

Dangote Awards DuPont Clean Technology Contracts for New Oil Refinery in Nigeria

DuPont Clean Technologies (DuPont) announced today that Dangote Oil Refinery Company Ltd (Dangote) has commissioned a range of advanced proprietary equipment from DuPont for the construction of a new refinery in Lekki, near Nigeria’s capital, Lagos. Construction of the new refinery is part of a strategy to boost national Nigerian refinery production and the innovative DuPont technology will allow Dangote to maximize quality and profitability while minimizing its environmental impact. The new refinery is set to become the largest single-train refinery in the world and the complex will include a petrochemical plant, a fertilizer plant and a subsea pipeline project.
